Just to touch the background let say we all are using facebook and have seen the meta tag there . The meta world came to our knowledge from there and Facebook focused on making metaverse. Metaverse is a wide topic . It is just science fiction speculation or is it an umbrella term which encampus augmented reality and virtual reality ?

A metaverse is a virtual reality simulation that can be used for various purposes like entertainment , social media networking and education . Metaverse is a virtual world created by users and can be sensed like physical world through technology . It mainly focuses on socializing .
What is Metaverse ?
A metaverse is a 3D online space where users can interact with each other and with virtual world and avatars . The main underlying object of metaverse is internet . The purpose of metaverse is socializing , entertainment , education and training . They can be used to create look alike world or completely imaginary world .
The best thing about metaverse is they give completely different experience to user on internet . It is something different from Instagram , facebook , twitter etc . They are evolving everyday and give a unique way of exposure and interaction . Since the facebook has rebranded its concept with meta so we will often listen and see this word . But is it really a new concept or something existing with some rebranding ? Lets find out .
Is Metaverse a new concept ?
In short the answer is NO . The term metaverse existed long ago but is part of future vision now . Neal Stephenson has mention the world "metaverse" in his novel "Snow Crash" long ago in early 90s . During the first days of virtual reality in 90s , the UK grocery chain a VR shopping demo . Virtual world has existed for decades especially in video games .
In 2003 , a game launched , named "Second Life" is best example of metaverse . The main idea of the game images an early 2000s life where people can interact online as avatars and can make virtual properties , virtual meetings . The game also has its own currency and best describes the word Metaverse .
Lets take a look t another proof or example of metaverse early existence . The "Playstation Home " that was launched back in 2008 but unfortunately shut down in 2015 . It is an interesting example of what the corporate example of metaverse would look like . The playstation suffered because of the more virtual world entertainment of playstation 3 . It also clarify the Mark zuckerberg's recent Metaverse Demo .
Now as we know the metaverse , lets see how can we access it .
How to access Metaverse ?
At this point there is no single way of accessing the metaverse these days . Baggili , a cybersecurity expert says there is more ways to access metaverse , these days many platforms offers virtual reality , augmented reality and extended reality access . Different tech companies offer different experience to metaverse. Platforms such as Fortnite , Roblox , decentral and sandbox etc offers a good experience to virtual world , real estate and shopping . These things can be accessed with the help of a VR headset which gives you a unique exposure of hand movement , eye sensation which actually creates a feeling of physically presence in a virtual world .
Popular multiplayer game like fortnite , Rec room or horizon world can give you access to metaverse concept .
However , there are such experts that can argue that we can access metaverse without physical headset . We can also access metaverse using your smartphone same as we access internet . Till now we don't have any clarification of how to access metaverse yet we will get it shortly .
More than Virtual Reality and Video games
Although its has been rebranded as the more expensive and exaggerated of virtual reality , the gaming world has already adapted its rudimentary form (involving or limiting to basic principles) . For example , the game Fortnite , the user of this game has his own avatar that interacts with other users and earn digital currency , can make property ,buy new costume and get married through avatars .
According to the microsoft CEO , Satya Nadella , the metaverse is not a single centralized metaverse . Many platforms can support it and can be accessible through multiple devices .
How to buy land in Metaverse ?
The virtual estate is already a big business . Famous celebrity like JP Morgan , Snoop Dog , PWC and samsung has already bought lands in metaverse for several reasons . About a year ago , the price of one plot was 1000$ on sandbox (Metaverse platform) and now the price of same plot is around 13000$ But how can we actually buy real estate in metaverse ?
STEP 1 : You need to buy crypto in ethereum or sand and mana .
STEP 2 : When it comes to buying land these two platforms are actually more popular Sandbox and Decentraland . These platforms have well known companies and being part of virtual world . Purchasing land on these platforms is very easy and every sale is recorded via transfer to NFT . Metamask or binance or kucoin wallet is much more important to hold your assets .
Apart from above two you can also buy or sell in metaverse through opensea.io and nonfungible.com . The future will directly depends on metaverse . Big companies like facebook now meta , claims metaverse is "the next big thing " . It would be too early to say how the future would look like .
